This article answers a FAQ (frequently asked question).

You can use amadmin command to force Amanda to do full (level 0) backup in the next backup run (next execution of amdump(8) command). For example, 

amadmin <amanda configuration> force <Amanda client> <Amanda client directory>

You can use amadmin(8) command to control Amanda planner algorithm.
