Some amcheck messages are documented in the amcheck#MESSAGES man page.
Amcheck: selfcheck request failed or "selfcheck request failed: timeout waiting for ACK"
- Note: Amanda 2.4.4 and earlier report this error as "selfcheck request timed out".
Amcheck: access as localuser not allowed from remoteuser@remotehost
Amcheck: port NNNN is not secure
Amcheck: Numerical argument out of domain
Why does amcheck fail while amdump succeeds ?
Argh! It still won't work! I have a "host down" error and can't figure out why! OR amandad is not started on the client
