An entity within Amanda that allows access to multiple volumes. A changer emulates a physical, robotic tape changer, but several changers are available which work with volumes other than physical tapes. For example, with vtapes, the changer is a logical device that changes from one virtual tape to another. Changers are described in amanda-changers(7) and specified in amanda.conf.
