Contributors have the choice of licensing their contribution under the UMD license or the GPLv2.

Amanda's original license was written by the University of Maryland, and is a BSD-style license. Contributors opting to use this license retain ownership of their copyright. The portions of Amanda licensed under the GNU Public License are copyright Zmanda, Inc. If you wish to use the GPLv2 for your contributions, please complete the Zmanda Contributor License Agreement first. No part of Amanda is covered by the GPLv3.

In either case, let the developer who will be committing your changes know your license preference, and he or she will add your name to the AUTHORS file with the appropriate annotation.
