ZRM for MySQL suite has been written in Perl with the aim of making it run on as many as possible distributions of Linux and Unix. It requires Perl 5.8.7 or later version.

It has been tested on Redhat, Suse Linux, Debian and Ubuntu distributions.

It can backup community and enterprise MySQL servers running on any MySQL supported platform.

MySQL community versions 4.0.x, 4.1.x, 5.x have been tested. MySQL enterprise server 5.0 has been tested.
