Problem

The backup run amdump(8) fails with message 

planner: ERROR Request to AMANDA CLIENT failed: timeout waiting for ACK

Solution(s)

  • Run amcheck(8) to verify Amanda configuration. Please run client configuration check using -c option.
  • Please check Selfcheck_request_failed error message page for reasons for Amanda server/client communication failure.
