Talk:Main Page
Matilda 10:01, 22 November 2005 (PST): Probably you could link the Tapetype definitions article to the main page for fast access.
Paddy 12:19, 22 November 2005 (PST): I have added short-cut links to the main page.
Matilda 04:09, 23 November 2005 (PST): Hi Paddy, thank you for that. Another thing we struggeled with our own wiki. By default the fulltext index of the underlying mysql database does not index words with 3 or less letters. This is really bad, because in IT almost everything has a three letter acronym and everyone is searching for that, e.g. your article about ssh tunnel. I tried to search for ssh, but did not get a result. You have to change the setting ft_min_word_len = 3 in my.cnf of mysql and recreate the whole fulltext index (see [1]). Best regards Andreas Mock
Paddy 11:11 23 November 2005 (PST): I have asked administrator to look into this. Please send wiki related requests to [email protected]. Thanks, Paddy
Three letter words are now searchable. Thanks Andreas, for the suggestion and pointers.
Many thanks to Paul Bijnens for helping out with spam in last few days. Hopefully we have a handle on this unfortunate mess now.
Illegal Blocksize and Broken Pipe
I'm new to Amanda and I'm attempting to recover a file from some older tapes. After running the restore command, I get the below information...illegal blocksize and broken pipe. Any ideas on what I should do next?
Thanks.
