To be able to compile the 2.5.1p3 source, you have to add a --disable-dependency-tracking as one of the parameters when running ./configure

I haven't found this to be the case -- what sort of error did you see without this flag? --Dustin 08:08, 3 May 2007 (PDT)

This was when creating Universal Binaries (multiple architectures) and GCC was complaining about using the -M and -E switch
