Q: Does tape spanning only work when you're using 'tar'? or does it also work with 'dump'?

A: It should work on both tar as well as dump.

Q: Is an autoloader required to use the tape spanning capability ? or Can the tape spanning capability be used by manually changing the tapes ?

Q: When splitting Dumps across Tapes with a single tape, tape drive, Will Amanda eject and ask for the next tape via tty / email ? (2/2/2009)
