Have been in data protection/storage/backup area for more than 15 years. Used Amanda a couple of times. Now I am evaluating it in the lab. I know backup software: NetBackup, Legato, Galaxy/Simpana, BackupExec. I am curious about Opensource solution. My recent work is on backup on VMware, Oracle and Micorsoft applications. I set up Amanda environment in my lab. Encountered some difficulties so I need discuss them with experienced huys here.
