IT Manager at zu.com communications. I deal extensively with Linux, Mac OS, Apache, MySQL, git, SVN, PHP, Perl, shell scripting, Python, Javascript, and occasionally C/C++, Ruby, and other non-web programming languages that people tend to bastardize into things they want to do rather than finding a better solution. I take care of network routing and security, building security, and am the building manager taking care of general maintenance for a three AHU, two boiler Engineered Air HVAC system. I manage the technical side of things and provide translation between the code, the hardware, the project managers, and occasionally the clients. I keep the programmers in check so they don't bloat their software beyond the limits of the hardware they are running it on, and find the problems in their code when no one else is available with the knowledge to fix it. I provide both the non-standard as well as standard solutions for the needs of employees and clients and do my best to ensure they are solid solutions that will ensure minimal chance of downtime that may affect their work. I have my fingers everywhere and know a great deal more than most. Do I know everything? No. Feed me more.
